An arch-top central door from the galley leads into the 11ft 6in bedroom. As with all the doors in the boat it is made from solid timber 40mm thick, giving a reassuring feel to the interior, and reducing transmitted noise. Scalloped cut-outs in the bottom allow ventilation through the accommodation.

On your right as you enter is a full-height double wardrobe, while opposite this is a curved computer desk, with drawers underneath, and narrow shelves above. Ahead of the desk are two more opening side doors, again with glass inner doors.

These extra side-doors through the boat are necessary for light, because Shiloh only has portholes otherwise.

The double bed is set lengthways, and has pull out extensions which increase its width to 4ft 6in. It is set 18in high, with large drawers underneath, and hinged flaps giving access to extra storage space for bulky items.

Further extensive storage is provided by full-length overhead lockers, while a complicated side locker serves as a book-shelf, and has a hinge-down bottom flap that serves as a location for your early-morning cup of tea.

The three-drawer bedside cabinet has a solid elm top, with wonderful swirling grain, giving a sumptuous feel to the cabin.
Heating in the bedroom is through Finrads, set underneath the wardrobe, with fan assistance to provide extra warmth in the winter, and to keep the clothes above aired and dry.
