These combined beautifully with the vertical t&g panelling below the gunwales to create a particularly elegant backdrop for the living areas of this narrowboat.

We also liked the non intrusive dinette at the rear of the saloon, and the galley, too, impressed; its doors colour-matched to the cabin sides, and with a clever slide-out storage cupboard. A nice touch was the use of different woods for wall mounted drawers on the rear bulkhead.

The walk-through bathroom was lined in white laminate - a practical and bright finish. Beyond the rear cabin was a very useful, and small, additional en-suite toilet and basin.

Green matters has been built to showcase its owner's biofuel business and both engine and lockgate stove run on a blend of this. He calls it his 4mph Mondeo - but a 4mph Bentley is probably much nearer the mark.
