First Meeting Notes
"WHITEFIELD"
The boat to have the feel of a Mediterranean motor cruiser
- Considerations to be given to the following requests listed below in conjunction with diagrams and plans submitted
Hull and Gunwhales
- Modifications to Hull to achieve effect of medeterranean cruiser
- Consideration of Zinga Coating
- Cruiser Stern with seating for steering / entertaining
- Utility room at rear with sliding roof ( sunbathing on top ? )
- Hydraulic drive with electric throttle
- Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters
- Decking on bow and stern deck with decking on gunwhales
- Outside tap - stern
- Outside powerpoints - bow and stern
- Pump out, fuel, water on both port and starboard side
Cratch and Covers
- Consideration of Glass bubble at bow to replace cratch cover - if not - deluxe cratch cover
- Cover for cruiser stern for winter months
- Headlight not attached to Cratch - is there a modern light to replace morris minor style lamp ?
Engine and Controls
- Engine with hydraulic drive to propeller
- Hydraulic bow thrusters front and rear
Entrances and Exits
- Consideration of Smoked Glass Panels with door from stern to utility - as on mediterranean sports cruisers
- Consideration of Similar Smoked glass entrance at bow
Appliances
- Oven with grill ( for toast ) and hob - would consider diesel
- Fridge in galley
- Fridge ( small ) for drinks in utility room or stern deck entertaining
- Dishwasher ( small ) in galley
- Washing machine/drier - utility area ?
- Televisions in lounge, galley ( small screen ), and bedroom - not hinged to wardrobe inner doors - some sort of pull down hinged unit from roof
- Sound system in lounge with speakers on stern deck
Airconditioning / diesel central heating
- Consideration of Aircon system in bedroom and lounge
- Diesel central heating with heater in bow with blower to heat cratch
Electrics - satellite tracking
- All electric boat - auto start of generator
- Consideration of lutron system for lighting
- Some sort of alarm / security monitoring to laptop/mobile phone
- Satallite tracking dish ( we don't want to watch satellite tv, but want a high quality picture on a free view box )
- Use of led's and outside lights to create " wow " factor
Internal fit out
- Quality to match " Deck of Cards" - leather upholstery
- Walk through bathroom / wetroom - possibly using glass sink and stand from porcelanosa together with multi-jet shower tower unit and free standing full length mirror - pictures to follow
Additional thoughts after meeting on July 22nd 2006
- Consideration of hydraulic operation of rudder with joystick and eliminate need for traditional tiller ( tiller stowed away and be available for emergency operation in case of hydraulic breakdown )
