Fernwood began boat building in 1997, run by Ken and Julia Warriner, and in this short period of time have gained a reputation for innovative design and the highest level of craftsmanship.

Ken's engineering design background brought him to boat building without any pre-conceived ideas of how things "should" be done.

He wanted to bring a fresh approach, which begins with building an enjoyable and trusting relationship with customers, understanding what they want from their boat and guiding them through the design possibilities, creating options as the process builds.
